Cartooning Counts as Art: today's pick--Garfield!

Today's post is on the lighter side. I fully intend to write up something about my trip to ArtChicago yesterday. But it's Sunday, I don't have time right now, and today's Garfield is not only funny, but concerns the art of cartooning - or to be more accurate the job of being a cartoonist. (My wife, after 30 years of marriage, still marvels at how much I can laugh at the comics. Of course, not all rise to the occasion every day, but I've always had a low threshhold funny bone.) As for me, I still marvel that, after 30 years of drawing the same few characters in pretty much the same basic story lines, Jim Davis can still make it funny. I hope you agree: Garfield.com
